Lead Front-End Developer
The role is part of the Creative team and you will lead the front-end development – helping define web development procedures, assigning work and estimating – as well as being a hands-on developer.

Responsibilities
- Work closely with designers and developers to deliver solutions for complex rich-media projects.
- Ensure that projects meet the highest standards of UX design and accessibility.
- Work closely with back-end developers to ensure integrity of the UI throughout the * * development lifecycle.
- Use your conceptual, creative, and technical knowledge of interaction, typography, color and layout to create award-winning sites.
- Assist with estimation and planning
- Staff management including hiring and resource planning
- Work closely with the other senior team members to maintain and update the production procedures and standards.
- Define and maintain our development procedures and practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or significant related work experience required.
- 5+ years in a digital agency or similar.
- Expert knowledge of hand-coded HTML, XHTML, CSS, Javascript.
- Highly experienced in developing standards-based, CSS-driven, table-less layouts.
- Fantastic knowledge of Javascript/UI libraries and their use in implementing AJAX solutions.
- Any experience with Node.js a major plus
- Understanding of SEO and accessibility issues as they relate to the front-end.
- Strong graphics manipulation/optimization skills.
- Knowledgeable in information architecture and user-centered design.
- Experience working with CMS and backend frameworks.
- Good organisational and estimation skills.
- Passionate about Digital
Salary: £45-55K depending on experience plus excellent bonuses and benefits (circa £50-60K OTE).
